3rd win out of 4 races, started 2nd but hounded the leader so on lap 2 he overshot the hairpin at Okayama and I ended up winning by 15 sec or so, no incidents.
Won two at Okayama for week 1 of the new season. First one I was on the pole, on 12-12-16, next one I started 2nd but leader spun with about 4 laps to go, had fastest lap and no incidents.
Started 2nd at Sonoma with car 7, after first lap I was 3 seconds behind the leader but slowly caught up until he went off after the S and I finished almost 6 seconds ahead of the 2nd car.
Again running third most of the race, got past both leaders with one lap to go, the 1 car passed me, then I got by him and took the win. My average lap time was 1/1000th of a sec faster than his.
3 wins in two days at Donington. Started 4th but made contact with two in front of me when they got slow, then passed the pole guy (18) when he went off turn one, then he passed me on this turn but could not keep it straight, he went off and I finished over 20 sec ahead of the next car.
Started 6th at Okayama, ran 3rd a lot of the race, then got passed by the fast lap guy but he spun twice in front of me, with 2 1/2 laps to go I got the lead and kept it.
Started on the pole at summit point, got passed by the 2 car but with a little pressure he went off and I passed with about 3 to go for a win, no incidents.
Started 15th with car 18, running 9th when caution came out with about 12 to go, most pitted, I did not and restarted 2nd, got past the leader quickly and another caution came out with 3 to go, although no one was close. Indianapolis, 50 laps.
Bad qual led to a position 13 start with car 7, got up to 5th before the caution came out around 22 laps, had a great pit and one of the leaders spun in the pit which put me in the lead with about 8 to go. Another caution came out which led to a 2 lap shootout, no problem, no incidents at Auto Club. Also fastest lap.
Started 7th at Auto Club with car 12, was running 2nd when I went to pit and yellow came out one sec before I entered the now closed pit, came out at end of line, passed everyone to take the lead, caution came out with two to go. Also had fastest lap.
2nd win of the day, started 3rd at Texas with car 15 (generic pic above), yellow at lap 25 or so, came out 2nd, took the lead on lap 31 and led the rest of the way.
Started 8th at Mi with car 5, pitted about halfway through and got 5 gallons gas, rejoined around 7th or so, worked my way up (had been running 2nd) and was running out of gas, would come up 1 lap shy so began lifting and trying to get some aero pull from lapped cars, then the 2nd place guy passed me with one lap to go but he hit the wall and as I approached the s/f line I ran out of gas but still came in 1st.
